About
Li Jiang
I wear many hats—actress, director, curator, and arts educator—all of which shape my identity as a teaching artist.
I starred in Vanishing Days (2018), which was selected for the 69th Berlin International Film Festival, an experience that inspired me to reflect on how the arts can connect the self to a broader world. Through performing works such as Alice in Bed (2024), I explore embodied language to portray complex female characters and examine how the body can reveal diverse expressions of female identity. In my recent project Dreams of Blindness (2025), I directed and collaborated with a diverse group of visually impaired individuals, using VR and AI to share their authentic voices and challenge stereotypes about disability.
Currently, I’m pursuing my master’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education, where I explore how to design meaningful artistic learning experiences for social justice. My research focuses on the intersection of creativity, education, and AI.
I believe the arts are for everyone; each of us carries the power to explore artistry in everyday life. My work seeks to open spaces where people can share their voices and co-create stories of connection and possibility.
